"Splinter
Cell is the best game on Xbox right now. It makes Metal Gear
Solid 2 look like some sort of easy borefest."
(Nick Arvites, XGF Staff)
"Sure,
everyone's dazzled by Splinter Cell ("Look Ma, those
lights are so pur-ty"), but those like myself enjoy
games that are actually different. Jet Set Radio Future is
just that kind of game. Sure, since it's release on the
Dreamcast its not so "different" anymore (every
Tom, ****, and Harry uses cel-shading and we have seen the
gameplay before) but this is STILL the most innovative Xbox
title out there. Ubi Soft's stripped down Metal Gear Solid
2/dressed up Hitman 2 may win over the masses, but games
like JSRF will continue to blur genre lines and win over
gamers who hunger for new ideas." (J.
Michael Neal, PSGF Staff)
"After
initially voting for Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell, I decided
to change it to The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind.
While Splinter Cell is no doubt an amazing achievement,
Morrowind is the type of game that can be played LONG after
it's beaten. More importantly, in my view it's the
only real reason for RPG fans to pick up a Xbox right
now. If only it wasn't so buggy..." (Jared
Black, XGF Editor)
